Mara Bravo

Mara Bravo has over 8 years of experience working in a medical center setting as a project manager and quality improvement specialist. Prior to joining the PMO, she worked at UCSF Health in the Adult Quality Improvement Department supporting groups and teams in using data and quality improvement tools to drive better health outcomes for patients. In this role, Mara partnered with various services, such as Department of Ophthalmology and Women’s Health Services, to identify areas of opportunity for improvement by analyzing data, using Lean methodologies to assess the problem and implement countermeasures/interventions to address root causes. As a senior project manager in the Patient Safety Department at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, Mara worked closely with clinical teams to implement action plans and interventions associated with patient safety events. She also has several years of experience providing and managing health education services in under resourced communities. Mara has a passion for health equity and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions in a complex environment.

Mara holds a Master’s in Public Health from DePaul University in Chicago, with a focus on community health. She attended Santa Clara University for her BS in Combined Sciences and Biology.
