Biography
Cheryl Meliones has over 35 years of experience in global strategy, technology consulting, and business transformation experience. Her focus is collaborative enterprise strategy, business transformation, and program management across the enterprise. Cheryl is skilled in her ability to understand complex business challenges, articulate innovative strategies, and align diverse teams into continuous improvement engines.
Prior to joining UCSF Cheryl's career included extensive management consulting and academic health center experience. With Accenture, Cheryl provided strategic vision, advisory services, and program support to transform fortune 50 life science organizations’ technology, data, processes, and people to create sustainable value at scale and speed. She has extensive management consulting experience from earlier in her career, providing leading academic health systems with strategic planning, program development, funding/grant development, product management, project management, PMO development, process improvement, and team leadership across the research, education, and patient care continuum. She founded a healthcare business intelligence and performance improvement company providing software and consulting services to guide hospitals in balancing operational improvements, driving financial returns, improving patient care, and supporting employee engagement.
Cheryl leads the EPMO with strategic direction to enable portfolio management decisions across the enterprise by aligning strategic initiatives with institutional priorities. She works across the enterprise to build and promote community of practices in key areas for collaboration including portfolio management, project management, change management, and operational efficiency, to help achieve value and drive balanced growth.
