The Change Management Team within the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) applies a proven set of methods and tools to ensure the people affected by the change effectively move from the end of the current state to the beginning of the new state and beyond.

Who Uses Our Services?

Anyone at UCSF who is sponsoring or leading an initiative that in any way changes the way people work.

How We Do it

Specific Change Management activities include work to:

  • Define a Change Management Strategy for each initiative.
  • Align Leaders around a "Case for Change" and a vision for the new solution and prepare them to lead change in their organizations.
  • Assess which organizations, departments, teams, and individuals are impacted by the change.
  • Assess the impacted individuals to understand specific needs as they undergo the change.
  • Define and implement Communications Plans.
  • Define and implement Stakeholder Engagement Plans-- ways of ensuring that individuals feel connected to the change, either by helping define it or by having it communicated to them by a credible, trusted colleague.
  • Assess training needs.
  • Design and build learning content.
  • Assess change readiness
